Randy Keith Turner Jr. of the 200 block of Bethesda Church Road, Holtwood was pronounced dead at 2:55 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, according to the Lancaster County Coroner's office.
His pick-up truck had left the roadway at 54 Westview Road, Martic Township going over an embankment around 1:58 a.m., according to the coroner's and the Pennsylvania State Police reports.
An autopsy on Monday revealed his death was accidental due to multiple traumatic injuries.
His passenger, 32-year-old Zacharie R. Bittner of Pequea suffered "suspected serious injuries" and was taken by the Lancaster EMS Association to Lancaster General Hospital, according to the state police. His current status and condition were not released.
The roadway was closed for approximately three hours and A & J towing removed the pickup from the scene, PSP explained.
Randy was born and raised in Lancaster, was a class of 2008 graduate from Penn Manor High School, and worked for Steve's Automotive Technology, according to his obituary.
For fun, he enjoyed "camping, going to Fishing Creek, cooking, and spending time with his friends and family," as written in his obituary.
He is survived by his parents Randy K. Sr. and Michelle Danz Turner; brother Ryan, fiance of Summer Waltman; grandparents Albert Danz, Mary (Charles Rohrer), and Barbara Turner, according to his obituary.
A visitation with the family will begin at 1 p.m. at Reynolds & Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, on Monday, November 20th. It will be followed by a celebration of life service officiated by Pastor Blake Deibler.
